Astrid is in to parks and stuff, but when Astrid’s mom brings her and her friend to a Roller Derby game, she definitely wants to be a Roller Girl. Then she finds out there is a Junior Roller Derby Camp, and she decides to go to it. But when she goes to the camp, her friend goes to a dance camp instead!
Astrid gets really mad at her friend, but then she meets a new friend at camp. Her name is Zoey. Astrid and Zoey get to be very good friends. Zoey even died Astrid’s hair blue.
Astrid finds out that it’s not to hard to make friends, even in the Roller Rink.
The rules of the game are that there is a Jammer and she has to pass the other team’s players to get points. The Blockers try to block the other team’s Jammer from getting past them. There are a lot of bumps in the Roller Derby.
I like this book because it is funny and rough. I think this book is for all ages. This book is really cool and I hope you read it.
